About us

Blessed Word Christian Life

was sprung out of the hearts of 2 men, Pastor Neil Makaveskis and Pastor Mark Taylor. Pastor Neil began a believers Lifegroup study in homes in Las Vegas, NV. in the year 2017. After leading the group for four years, in the year 2021 Pastor Neil was offered to lead a church in Chicago called Blessed Word Christian Church. At that time our Lord arranged a divine appointment for these 2 men to meet at a Lifegroup study. After continual prayer and supplication to the will of our Lord, Pastor Neil decided to sell his home in Las Vegas and move his family to Chicago to lead the church.

He asked Pastor Mark to lead the Lifegroup, and after prayer and supplication he accepted. These 2 men had the same vision to plant a church in Las Vegas and continued their divinely inspired vision together across the miles.

In the year 2022, after leading the Lifegroup for approximately one year, and after much discussion, prayer and consultation, Pastor Mark began looking for a building to bring Gods message further out to a lost and dying world. Within a few months the Lord directed him to what is now known as Blessed Word Christian Life (the last word in the name changed to reflect the growth of our Lifegroup). We are now a sister church to our congregation in Chicago. This is how God works when you succumb to His will. Praise Him, Glorify Him!
